Families ring in the Year of the Rabbit with traditional Chinese arts, crafts and performances organized by Redleaf Cultural Integration<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Happy Lunar New Year!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Local residents hopped down to the Burlington Performing Arts Centre Saturday (Jan. 21) to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit \u2014 a year which promises to be one of peace and relaxation, according to Chinese zodiac symbolism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organized by Redleaf Cultural Integration (RCI), the family-friendly event featured cultural demonstrations that were open to the community and dazzling performances of traditional Chinese dances and music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guests enjoyed sugar painting, calligraphy demos, paper crafts and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
